The Jinja Total Experience is designed for travellers who want to experience several sides of Jinja through cycling. Over two days and one night, the route connects the town, suburbs, villages and countryside while combining history, community experiences, the Source of the Nile, waterfalls and scenic cycling.

This is an active cycling experience that takes you beyond conventional sightseeing and into the landscapes and communities surrounding Jinja.

Your 2-Day Cycling Adventure

Day 1 — Jinja Historical Tour & Source of the Nile Boat Cruise

Your guide will pick you up from your lodge in Jinja before you begin exploring Jinja's history and community by bicycle. Ride through the town and discover its beautiful colonial buildings while learning about why and how they were built.

The day's adventure continues to the Source of the Nile, where the second longest river in the world starts its journey of approximately 6,600 km towards the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy a boat ride at the Source of the Nile before concluding the day's experience.

Day 2 — Jewel of the Nile Adventure

75 KM total programme • Villages • Plantations • Waterfalls • Nile trails

Your guide will pick you up from your lodge for a full-day cycling adventure through villages, plantations and rolling hills. The route follows red-dirt roads into the countryside, leading to two of Jinja's beautiful waterfalls: Busowoko Falls and Itanda Falls.

After visiting the two waterfalls, continue along single trails beside the Nile before cycling back towards Jinja. The combination of countryside, waterfalls, local landscapes and Nile-side trails makes this a memorable final day of the Jinja Total Experience.
